Alex is jealous of Jack who is dating the woman of his dreams, Chloe. Jack is much stronger than Alex and is considered the Alpha male, which has made Alex resent him for a number of years, as Alex is considered weak and nerdy, and Jack got Alex’s dream girl.

Alex is obsessed with Chloe, and has been for quite some time and he desperately wants to be with her, he seeks out a gypsy, Marviosa, and tells her about his situation, about his jealousy of Jack and his love for Chloe, Marviosa then asks for his soul as payment and he willingly gives it to her. Overnight Marviosa’s spell had worked, Jack is nowhere to be found and Alex wakes up and calls Chloe and to his delight she is as madly in love with Alex as he is to her. However Alex only thinks that Jack has disappeared forever or even dead, but he is just trapped between reality and hell.

Alex and Chloe then begin to date and move into a house together, however the house possesses a mirror in which Jack has been trapped for over 3 years, although he can gain access to the real world, when he is in the real world he desperately tries to find Chloe, but he is only seen  as a ghost and never seen by anyone else, but he has to always return to the mirror by midnight every night otherwise he will die, and lose all hope of finding Chloe and telling her that her new husband had trapped him and eventually  getting back together with Chloe.

Over time Alex starts to go mad as he thinks he can see the ghost of Jack, who he banished, and he constantly has visions of himself dying. Fearing he could be going insane, Alex decides to go and see a psychiatrist who is actually Marviosa disguised as a professional psychiatrist, however she cannot change her face, she can change her voice and clothes but the faces always stays the same, also as she is a gypsy witch and is evil, she assures Alex that there is nothing to worry about, however Alex knows he has seen her before but can’t figure out where, this makes Alex paranoid and constantly worry about his recurring nightmare of him dying, which results in him growing more and more distant from his wife as each day passes, until one day Chloe sits him down and asks him what’s wrong.

 

Jack’s brother Nicholas, shows up at Chloe and Alex’s house to warn Chloe about Alex and let Jack’s life live on, even if it is a memory. Chloe, who is under the spell, protests against her husband Alex and dismisses all allegations about him which leaves Nicholas to doubt his own mind Alex finds out about Jack’s brother telling Chloe and begins to get more paranoid each day until he leaves Chloe to sort his own head out. When Alex leaves Chloe, she begins to doubt their marriage and she decides that he is not the man she thought he was and therefore falls out of love with him. Chloe is left unloved and widowed as Jack is never going to escape from the mirror as the spell was ever lasting, Alex kills himself by jumping off of a roof, in a similar way to how Jack had threatened to kill him and Marviosa continues to live and live off of people’s souls.
